Voice Text App Reviews

Ive tried several Speech to Text apps and this one came out ahead of them all, although I havent tried Dragon yet. What I like best about Voice Text is that it doesnt cut you off after a few seconds of speaking. I also find it to be highly accurate in interpreting my speech but I dont have a slang or foreign accent so I cant speak for those who do. You can dictate an entire document without interruption, then easily cut/paste it into your email or other app. Editing can be done from within Voice Text. Im using it on my iPad2 and finding that its well worth the price.

Have to add the name to every text. Doesnt update apple texts. Still doesnt understand my accent. Not worth it if it was free

Why pay for what you get for free. This App uses Nuance online software. So you are paying for what the Nuance App gives you for free. This also implies that it uses your data plan. Besides this, you cant dictate large messages as one customer said. And the Mic button is minimal and on the side both on iPad and iPhone. If I could, I would have no doubt as to return the App and get my money back.

I dont text and drive. I dont like to talk on the phone when driving. I have been using this app because I am a bad typist. I love it!

Horrible. It sent the first couple of voice messages . Then the others that were sent must be lost in space!! Dont waste your money on this!!!

I have trouble with Apple speech to text. My voice is soft and my iPhone does not understand me very well. This program on the other hand waits for me to finish and seriously, is correct about 90% of the time vs iPhone built in speech to text which is about 30% of the time.

This is one of the best voice to text apps that I know of. It does what it promises very well.

Ive used several voice to text for texting apps. This one does the best job for voice recognition and setup to text.

I just dictate with a quiet voice and am very impressed with the programs ability to transcribe what Ive said. Then I copy the text and paste it into Word or GoogleDocs, or my schools LMS for online conversations. Its excellent for this. I havent used it in conjunction with my contacts, which some say doesnt work For dictating thoughts, though, its top notch!

This is so helpful for my job where I do a lot writing... Well now voice dictation.

app isnt truely hands free... you have to speak, then click a button, then tell it who to send it to. its actually more hands on than our normal messenger. waste of $2

Very handy to have when using an old phone without the ability to dictate a message.....though it sometimes locks up and crashes.

I am a creative writer and I never know when the next moment of inspiration is going to strike. This voice dictation app has been a great help in preventing my latest insights from slipping from my grasp - in large part because of its ready accessibility and ease of use. The app has also been a lifesaver for maintaining communications with both impatient family members, as well as the office while Im traveling and needing to keep my eyes on the road.

It does what I need it to do! Im not a good speller so this great for me
